Ports of communications partners and routers
Make sure that you enable the required client ports in the corresponding firewall on the
communications partners and in intermediary routers.
These can be:
● MSC / 26382 (TCP) - configurable with a central interface: 1024 .. 65535
● NTP / 123 (UDP)
● DNS / 53 (UDP)
● SINEMA RC and OpenVPN / 1194 (UDP) - can be set
● SINEMA RC autoconfiguration / 443 (TCP) - can be set in SINEMA RC

You will find the required STEP 7 products and versions in the section Requirements for
operation (Page 23).
You require the following for the configuration:
You perform the entire configuration in STEP 7 Basic or STEP 7 Professional.
You will find the description of the procedure as of the section Configuration in STEP 7 Basic
(Page 66).
CP as replacement TIM 3V-IE Advanced
You configure the CP in the following configuration tools one after the other.
You require the following for the configuration:

– Configuration of a proxy for the CP (PROXY CP1243-8 IRC) in an S7-300 station
– Configuration of the connected WAN networks and connections in the SINAUT
engineering software

Remember to create the connections to be used by the CP in the STEP 7 V5 project.
