the STEP 7 V5 project. You will find the import described in section Importing
configuration data (ST7) (Page 90).
After importing from STEP 7 V5, the configuration of the WAN interface is neither
possible nor necessary.
7. Create and Ethernet network, connect the network to the CP and its connection partner
and configure the interface and network parameters.
For the CP with firmware V2.1 further configuration of the Ethernet interface is not
necessary.
8. To use the serial interface of the CP with firmware version V3, insert a TS module.
Without a configured TS module, the serial interface will not be displayed. For information
on this, refer to section Configuring a TS module (Page 80).
For the CP with firmware V2.1 configuration of a TS module is neither possible nor
necessary.
9. Configure the further parameters of the CP, the required telecontrol connections for ST7
communication and the data points of the CP.
– You will find information on the security functions in the section Security (Page 104)
and in /11/ (Page 227).
– For information on the telecontrol connections, refer to the section Creating telecontrol
connections for the ST7 communication (Page 122).
For the CP with firmware V2.1 configuration of telecontrol connections is neither
possible nor necessary.
– You will find information on the data points in the section Data point configuration
(Page 128).
10.Download the project data to the station.
When you load the station, the project data of the station including the configuration data
of the CP is stored on the CPU.
You will find further information on configuration and downloading in the STEP 7 information
system.
Communication types
"Communication types" parameter group
In this parameter group, you enable the communication type of the CP.
To minimize the risk of unauthorized access to the station, you need to enable the
communications services that the CP will execute individually. You can enable all options but
at least one option should be enabled.
