Procedure
• Place an appropriately sized protective mat with magnetic self-holding function on the
secondary section. If necessary, you can cover a secondary section using 2 protection mats
placed down next to one another.

• Place the side of the protection mat with the black PU foam over the entire surface of the
magnets of the secondary section.
The protection mat has a metal sheet on its upper side so that it is attracted and held in
position by the magnetic force of the secondary section. This weakens the force of attraction
of the secondary section. As a consequence, it reduces the risk of crushing due to the
secondary section permanent magnets.
• To replace a secondary section, place one protection mat in front of and one behind the
secondary section to be replaced.
• Remove the protection mat before you commission the linear motor.
