5.6.2 Preconditions for PN Gate
Hardware
● SINAMICS CU320-2 PN with firmware version as of 4.5
● Communication Board Ethernet 20 (CBE20)
● Short Ethernet cable to connect CBE20 and CU320-2 PN (X150)
Recommendation: Ethernet cable with the article number: 6SL3060-4AB00-0AA0
● Control hardware with standard Ethernet interface (100 Mbit/s or higher),
for example, the SIMATIC Box IPC 427C.
Note
The Gate PC must guarantee the short latency times required for operating the PN Gate.
Influencing variables are the CPU performance, mainboard hardware (Ethernet chipset and
its connection), and the BIOS and the software components involved
(operating system
components such as memory mapping, Ethernet driver, interrupt link, configuration).
