BRAKE INSPECTION
1. Inspect lining on the inner (C, Figure 4) and outer (B)
brake pads for cracks, wear, or oil contamination.
Replace both pads and the brake disc (N) if either of
the two pads show damage or appear worn.
2. Inspect brake disk (N) for cracks, chips, or deep
grooves and scratches. Replace the brake disc and
also the inner (C) and outer (B) brake pads if the disc
is damaged or worn.
3. Inspect key (O, Figure 4) and inside circumference of
brake disc (N) for wear or damage. Replace key,
brake disc, and pads if worn.
4. Inspect the brake shaft (B, Figure 5) and keyway (A)
for wear or damage.
5. Inspect the oil seal (C, Figure 5) for damage or leak-
ing oil.
