Fuel Tank Replacement
Fuel Tank Replacement
1. Turn the ignition key switch to the OFF position,
remove the key, set the parking brake, and turn the
PTO off.
2. Remove the mower deck and any other accessories.
3. Disconnect the negative (-) battery cable
(see Section 7, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM SERVICE).
4. Remove the seat deck (refer to Seat Deck Removal,
earlier in this section).
5. Drain the fuel tank using a siphon.
6. Loosen the hose clamps (D, Figure 16) from the fuel
hoses (C) by sliding the hose clamps down the
hoses.
7. Remove the fuel hoses (F, Figure 17) from the elbow
fittings (G).
8. Remove the elbow fittings (G) with the fuel tubes (C)
from the fuel tank (A).
9. Remove the fuel level sensor (refer to Fuel Level
Sensor Replacement later in this section).
10. Remove the bumper (A, Figure 18) by removing the
capscrews (C), nuts (B), and spacers (D) from the
frame (E).
