13 Engine Removal & Installation
Kohler - Engine Removal
WARNING
DO NOT perform the next step in the presence of
open flames, sparks, or smoking materials.
Gasoline is highly flammable, and could result in
explosion or fire causing death or serious injury.
5. Remove the fuel line (A, Figure 7) on the left side of
the engine, and plug the line to prevent spillage of fuel.
6. Remove the hardware (B) securing a circuit breaker
to the rear of the firewall shield (C), and remove the
hardware securing the firewall shield to each side (D)
of the frame.
7. Unplug the PTO clutch from the left main harness (E).
8. Disconnect the choke and throttle cables (A, Figure 8)
from the engine.
9. Remove the hardware securing the muffler (B) to the
engine, and remove the muffler.
