14. Connect the positive battery cable (G, Figure 45) and
solenoid control wire to the starter solenoid.
15. Install the muffler (E) and bracket (F) to the engine,
using the original hardware.
16. Place the battery (B) into the tractor, and install the
battery holddown (D). Secure the holddown with the
original hardware.
17. Connect the positive battery cable (C) to the battery.
Connect the negative battery cable (A) to the battery
(B).
18. Replace the engine oil and filter (refer to Section 3,
MAINTENANCE).

19. Fill the radiator and engine with antifreeze (refer to
Section 3, MAINTENANCE).
20. Provide any additional services as listed in the
Regular Maintenance Schedule for the tractor (refer
to Section 3, MAINTENANCE).
21. Adjust the engine throttle for proper operation (Refer
to your Briggs & Stratton Daihatsu Engine Operator
Manual or contact your Briggs & Stratton Daihatsu
Distributor for specific information on the adjustment
of the Briggs & Stratton Daihatsu Liquid-Cooled
Diesel 24.5 HP Models.
22. Install the hood (refer to Section 14, HOOD, DASH &
FOOT REST SERVICE).
