Formatting
It
is
easy
to
change the typeface used
in
existing text The method
is
known
as
painting
since
you
use the cursor like a paint brush, changing
the
Iypeface of any
text
over which
it
moves.
First you must move the cursor
to
the start of the text
to
be changed, press
F4
and
then press the P
key.
Next, select the combination of typefaces
you
want.
Use the fight
and down cursor
keys
to
move the cursor across the text
to
be changed. When
you
reach the end of the text
you
want
to
alter leave the option by pressing ENTER.
You
do
not need
to
switch
off
the typeface selection;
It
will
revert
to
the correct typeface as
soon as you
mDVe
away from the area painted
in
the new typeface. Figure
4.2
shows
the appearance

can change, or remove, an existing typeface
in
the same way

change the widths of the margins with the margin command. Each new margin

position takes effect from the current paragraph and remains
in
force

following
paragraphs, until
you
make another change
to
the
pDsitlDn
of the margin.
Press the command
key
(F3)
and then the M
key
to
start
thiS
command.
In
addition
to
other changes
in
the control area you will see that three chDlces - LEFT INDENT
and RIGHT will appear and that the LEFT Dption
is
highlighted. These options represent
the three margins, and the

that
is
highlighted
is
the

that you can move

can step the highlighting from

to
option by pressing the space bar or

can
select a particular option by pressing the
key

first
letter.
When the
name

a margin
is
highlighted
in
the
CDntrol
area

can move that margin with the
left or right cursor
keys.
Suppose
you
wish
to
move the left margin to the fight by three characters, starting with
the second paragraph of

document.
