7. Pull out the emergency stop button on the ground
controller and platform controller to ON position.
8. Flip the engine start switch on the platform controller
to start the engine (no more than 15s).
NOTICE
Do not start the engine when the foot switch is
depressed.
Shutdown Sequence
NOTICE
If the machine is shut down unexpectedly due to
engine failure, make sure to correct the failure before
restarting the engine.
1. Remove all loads and set the machine in stowed
position.
2. Let the engine run at low speed for 3min～5min to
further lower the internal temperature of the engine.
3. Press the emergency stop button on the ground
controller and platform controller to the OFF
position.
4. Turn the key switch on the ground controller to the
OFF position.
7.6 EXHAUST AFTER-TREATMENT
SYSTEM-IF EQUIPPED
The exhaust after-treatment (EAT) system is used to
control the exhaust gas for engine. In order to ensure
the normal operation of the system, make sure to per-
form regeneration process for the after-treatment device
as required.
EAT Process
Before performing EAT process, make sure to:
• Stop all functional operation of the machine
• Set the machine in stowed position
• Evacuate all personnel from the platform
• Run the engine at idle speed
• Keep the coolant temperature above 60°C
• Select the ground control position for the machine
1. When the machine needs EAT, a yellow warning
prompt will appear on the EAT System Information
interface, and the status indicator will flash.
2. Move the machine to a suitable area.
3. Activate the regeneration function for the type of en-
gine equipped, and then the EAT System Informa-
tion interface will display a red warning prompt. The
whole EAT process takes about 30min～60min.
4. After completing the EAT process, the engine will
run for about 5 minutes to cool itself and the EAT
system.
Regeneration function activation instructions:
Yuchai/Wechai engine: With the after-treatment regen-
eration disable switch turned off, flip the after-treatment
regeneration request switch, and the engine will enter
active regeneration mode.
Deutz engine: Flip the after-treatment regeneration re-
quest switch, and the engine will enter parked regenera-
tion mode.
Yanmar engine:
1. Move the after-treatment regeneration interlocking
switch upward, and run the engine at low idle
speed.
2. Move and hold the after-treatment regeneration re-
quest switch for 10s, and the after-treatment regen-
eration interface will be shown on the turntable
display automatically, the ACK regeneration execu-
tion indicator light will be on , and the manual
regeneration can be activated.
3. Release the after-treatment regeneration request
switch, and the regeneration request indicator light
will be on , the ACK regeneration execution in-
dicator light will flash , and the manual regen-
eration will be activated and in standby state,
waiting for confirmation.
4. Move and hold the after-treatment regeneration re-
quest switch for 3s again to confirm the regenera-
tion operation.
5. The high exhaust temperature indicator light
and the ACK regeneration execution indicator light
in solid ON state indicate that the regenera-
tion is being performed.
