Engine Intake Air Filter
▪
Ensure there are no loose or missing parts and
there is no visible damage.
▪
Ensure air cleaner vacuator valve

is free
from dirt or dust by squeezing the valve lips.
▪
Check air cleaner service indicator

and
replace filter element if needed.

Fuel Tank
IMPORTANT
Before using your telehandler ensure there is
enough fuel for expected use.
▪
Ensure fuel filler cap is secure.
▪
Ensure tank shows no visible damage and no
evidence of fuel leakage.
▪
Fuel Leaks: Failure to detect and correct fuel
leaks will result in an unsafe condition. An
explosion or fuel fire may cause death or serious
injury. Perform a visual inspection around the
following areas:
▪
hoses and fittings
▪
fuel pump
▪
fuel filter
▪
fuel tank
▪
Be sure to follow all local, provincial/territorial/
state and national regulations related to
disposing of fluids and soiled rags, cloths, etc.
WARNING
Engine fuels are combustible. Inspect the
telehandler in an open, well-ventilated area away
from heaters, sparks and flames. Always have an
approved fire extinguisher within easy reach.

Hydraulic Oil Tank
▪
Ensure hydraulic filler cap is secure.
▪
Ensure tank shows no visible damage and no
evidence of hydraulic leakage.

Hydraulic Oil
▪
Be sure that the boom is in the lowered and
stowed position, and then visually inspect the
sight gauge located at the rear of the hydraulic
oil tank.
▪
Add fresh, clean hydraulic oil as required.
Refer to Section 7.4 for recommended oil type.
▪
Be sure to follow all local, provincial/territorial/
state and national regulations related to
disposing of fluids and soiled rags, cloths, etc.
