3. INFORMATION ON THE MACHINE
3.1 MACHINE PERFORMANCE
The SMIPACK S.p.A. packaging machine is equipped with a simple but complete control panel
connected to a microprocessor system guaranteeing high level performance and great
autonomy to the operator.
The machine can produce two types of packaging:
non rigid packets (only the sealing of the film edges is performed)
clinging packets (apart from sealing, also heat-shrinking of the film is performed on the
product)
.

The S560NA machine is equipped with an
automatism which, once the START push-
button has been pressed, allows to activate
the bell closing movement. At the end of the
cycle of sealing or shrink-wrapping, the bell
automatically and independently returns to its
initial position, while the product is carried
outside the packaging area. The first working
stage takes place by a motor which adjusts the
descent and the rise of the bell. If it is required
to stop this action it is necessary to press the
STOP push-button. If you stop the machine in
this way, the electronic board display will
indicate the emergency state and an acoustic
signal will be emitted. To return to the work
start status, turn off the STOP push-button and
press. .
The bell movement time is electronically
controlled by a software which also allows to
vary the sealing pressure. The end stage of
"product removal" is common to both the
S560N and S560NA models and takes place
by means of a motorised product carrier belt 1
which replaces the operator in the end stage.
Thanks to these automatisms, the packaging
cycle time decreases, and the hourly
productivity therefore increases
