Getting Started Vehicle Auxiliary Power Cables
3. Press the Power button.
After the start up sequence is complete, the main menu screen displays.
3.3 Vehicle Auxiliary Power Cables
The auxiliary power cables can be used to provide power from the vehicle to your MODIS™ unit.

1— 2.5 mm plug
2— Lighter Power Cable
z To power the unit using the vehicle auxiliary power cables:
1. Plug the 2.5 mm end of the Lighter Power Cable into the DC power supply input located on top
of the MODIS™ unit (Figure 3-2).
2. Plug the other end of the Lighter Power Cable into the cigarette lighter or the Battery Power
Cable receiver (Figure 3-3).

1— Positive and negative battery terminal clips
2— Battery Power Cable receiver
3. If the Battery Power Cable is used, clip the other ends of the Battery Power Cable to the
positive and negative battery terminals of your test vehicle.
