6.7.14 Settings in setup mode
The parameters in setup mode allow you to customize the application program Counting to your
specific needs.
Start setup mode by pressing the F6 Setup Mode key in the settings function level, and from there
press F6 Save to start Program Settings.
F6 Next retrieves the program settings for the highlighted application program

Shown in the Counting program under the F1 key, e.g. Ref 10
the minimum reference weight with the number keypad
The minimum reference weight applies to the total weight of the reference parts.
The calculation is based on the smallest number increment (d) of the scale.
The factory default is 10 number increments.
Values can range between 1 and 50.
Example for a scale with 1 g number increment:
Factory default is 10 d = 10 g for the total reference weight of the reference parts.
By reducing the factory default to 5 d, the scale accepts 5 g as
the minimum weight for the total weight of the reference parts.
By increasing the factory default to 20 d, the scale requires 20 g as the minimum
weight for the total weight of the reference parts.
If ADD mode is enabled, the scale prompts for the missing parts until the minimum
reference weight has been reached. If the calculated reference weight is less than
10% of the smallest number increment of the scale, the error message "Error 04
Reference Weight Tool Small" is issued.
Optimizing the
reference weight
the percentage value
The scale optimizes the reference value when more parts are placed.
The upper limit of the optimization is entered in percent of the weighing range.
Example: 50% of the weighing range 60 kg, optimization is achieved up to 30 kg.
Example: 0%, optimization is disabled.
: off or on - factory default: on
When "On", the display unit prompts for the missing parts with a message (add xx
pieces) until the minimum reference weight has been reached.
the value for the speed of calculating the reference weight and the
reference weight optimization between 500 and 5,000 milliseconds.
Factory
default: 500 ms. If unsettled ambient conditions cause inaccurate reference
weights, the calculation time can be extended to obtain more accurate reference
Preferred reference
scale
none, scale 1, scale 2, scale 3, ...
Determine which scale to use as the preferred scale for determining the reference
weight. If REF10 or REF Variable are pressed, the display automatically switches to
the scale specified here to determine the reference weight. After the reference
weight has been determined, the display switches back to the last selected bulk
scale.
