Electrical Connection
DANGER!
Before powering on the inverter, make sure the AC protective cover has been
installed correctly on the AC terminal even if the terminal is not wired. Otherwise,
electrical shock may be caused by high voltage, resulting in serious personal injury or
death.
8.4 PV Connection
DANGER!
When exposed to the sunlight, PV modules will generate lethal high voltage. Please
take precautions.
Before connecting the PV modules, make sure that both DC switch and AC breaker
are disconnected, and that the PV module output is securely isolated from the
ground.
WARNING!
To mitigate the risk of fire, it is crucial to utilize a dedicated crimping tool specifically
designed for PV installations to ensure secure and reliable connections.
CAUTION!
Power is fed from more than one source and more than one live circuit.
NOTICE!
DC isolator complied with AS 609473: 2018 and local regulation shall be installed for
PV input connection for the inverters of models without DC isolator fitted inside the
enclosure.
If the PV is grounded, the inverter will turn on a red light and report IsolationFault.
This inverter complies with IEC 62109-2 clause 13.9 for earth fault alarm monitoring.
Requirements for PV connection
Open circuit voltage and operating voltage
»
The open circuit voltage of each module array cannot exceed the maximum
PV input voltage (800 V for 5.5 kW and 8.3 kW inverters; 1000 V for other
models) of the inverter. Otherwise, the inverter may be damaged.
»
The operating voltage of PV modules must be within the MPPT voltage.
range (160-650 V for 5.5 kW and 8.3 kW inverters; 180-950 V for other
models) Otherwise, the inverter will prompt a PV Volt Fault alarm. Consider
