3. Installing the unit CRANEX Novus e

3.3 Attaching the unit to the ﬂ oor

It is recommended that the base of the unit is

attached to the ﬂ oor.

If the unit is being installed in an area prone to

earthquakes OR if you think that the wall bracket

by itself will not hold the unit rigidly enough to the

wall, then the base of the column MUST be ﬁ xed

to the ﬂ oor.

NOTE:

If the base of the column needs to be ﬁ xed to the

ﬂ oor but it is not permitted or possible, attach the

unit to the exhibition stand. See section 6. The

exhibition stand and the separate instructions

supplied with the exhibition stand.

1. Make sure that the unit is level and then mark

the positions of the two ﬁ xing holes on the

ﬂ oor.

2. Then drill two holes of a suitable size for the

8 mm (5/16") ﬂ oor ﬁ xing hardware that is to be

used.

3. Check once more that the unit is vertical and

then tighten all the ﬁ xing screws and wall bar

fastenings.
