In Data logging mode, you can take speed readings
only if the work order contains SPM measuring points
where the speed of the bearing is defined as ”vari-
able” or ”measured”.
In these cases, you always start with the Tachometer
menu and must take a speed reading and store it with
ENT before you can take an SPM reading.
If the displayed rpm is correct, you can accept it by
just pressing ENT, else:
• Connect the tachometer probe, press ENT
• Hold the M key down while you measure (see
pages 36/37 for alternative measuring methods).
• Press ENT to store the reading and exit.
You can also use the arrow keys to set an rpm.
Reporting Measuring Results
To transfer the measuring results back to the PC, you
select COMMUNICATION on the Select menu and
follow the instructions displayed by the PC.
You can report a work order with part of the measur-
ing results missing, but as a rule you should take all
readings before reporting.
