Follow-up Form for Bearing Monitoring
If you do not use CONDMASTER, the follow-up form
is a necessary means for systematic condition moni-
toring. The development of the readings over a pe-
riod of time is a much better basis for the planning of
repairs and maintenance than the result from a single
reading.
The follow-up form provided by SPM has the ordering
number FUP-02 (metric units) or FUP-04 (imperial units).
It has space for two shock pulse measuring points and
one vibration measurement point. 15 readings for
each point can be recorded and plotted. A separate
follow-up form, consisting of one or several sheets,
should be prepared for each machine unit.
The fields on the form sheet are described in fig. 20.
The lower part of the follow-up form, intended for
vibration monitoring, is described in Part 4. The last
pages of this manual contain follow-up forms which
can be copied.
