The working and storage temperature for the A2011
is 0° to 50° C. The key pad is sealed with a membrane.
The casing, made of ABS plastic, is protected by a
polyurethane rubber cover.
The casing is not water tight, so do not expose the
instrument to moisture or high humidity.
Changing the Batteries
The instrument is powered by six 1.5 V alkaline cells
(LR6). Rechargeable cells can be used.
The batteries need changing when the screen mes-
sage BATTERY LOW is displayed.
The battery compartment is situated at the rear side
of the instrument, below the screen. To replace the
batteries,
• Pull down the upper part of the protecting cover.
• Use a screw driver to unscrew the compartment
lock. It is held by two M3 screws.
• Orient the new batteries as shown by the polarity
markings inside the compartment.
• Replace lock and cover.
Reset Key
The A2011 has an unmarked function key (fig. 33). In
case anything causes the instrument's program to
seize up, press this the MASTER RESET key to reset.
Changing the Probe Tip Sleeve
The only part likely to wear out is the rubber sleeve
for the tip of the shock pulse transducer with probe.
The latest version of the sleeve is made of chloroprene
rubber (neoprene) which tolerates temperatures of
110° C. Sleeves made of urethane tolerate max. 85° C.
Spare sleeves have the ordering number 13108.
