TAILGATE
Unlock the tailgate and turn the opening
lever in the clockwise direction. Then
push out the tailgate.
Tailgate Opening Lever (Inside)*
To open the tailgate, unlock the
tailgate and pull the tailgate
opening lever up.

(Outside)
Tailgate Handle
To close the tailgate, pull down
the tailgate handle to lower the
gate. Then, push the tailgate to
close it completely.
Exhaust gases are poisonous. Do
not run the engine with the tailgate
open to avoid exhaust gas in the
cabin.
Cargo can fall out of an open tail-
gate while the vehicle is in motion,
resulting in an unexpected accident.
Do not travel with the tailgate open.
WARNING
Before closing the tailgate, ensure that
none of your body parts are trapped. Also,
because the tailgate is heavy, it might un-
expectedly fall down and close. To pre-
vent any injury, close the tailgate with
caution.
