4. Manual search
Select this search to look for one particular channel with the help of channel-specific PID
numbers.
When the search has been completed, an on-screen message will inform you of the number
of channels found by your digital receiver, how many of these are new and how many are
encrypted. New channels will be saved in the General list and, according to Section
8.1, can be added to the Favorites list.
> First call the Main menu to initiate a station search run run.
> Using the up/down arrow keys, search for channels in this line.
> Confirm with OK. The sub-menu search for channels will be displayed.
> Select the required search run method, which you want to accomplish with the
arrow keys up/down and confirm with OK.
8.4.1 Automatic search
This search will automatically serch all satellites available in the menu LNB-Settings (Section
6.4 u. 9.4) for channels. You can decide, whether you want to search for all (free and enco-
ded) stations are only for free stations.
> By pressing key OK, you decide whether youn would only like to search for free
channels (free channels) or also for encrypted channels (All channels).
> Confirm by pressing the green function key Search. The search may take up to 15
minutes.Pay attention to the screen inserts.
8.4.2 Satellite-Search
To scan an individual satellite for channels, please select Satellite-Search. Here you can
deside whether you would like to search for all chanels (free andencrypted) or for free chan-
nels only.
> Press the key OK again in order to open the table of the active satellites.
> With the help of the up/down arrow keys, highlight the line in the menu All
Satellites, in order to scan all active satellites for channels or highlight the reque-
sted satellite to scan it for channels.
> Confirm with OK.
> Using the up/down arrow keys to highlight the field Search Mode.
> By pressing OK, select whether you would like to search the satellites for free chan-
nels (Free Channels) or for encrypted channels as well (All Channels).
> The search run is started. Pay attention to further messages on the screen.
> You can abort the search run by pressing the red function key.
8.4.3 Transponder-search
You can scan a transponder (see Section 10 Technical Terms) for channels. For this, it is
necessary to enter the data of the transponder.
Satellite
Import this line into the satellite, on with the required transponder is located.
