Measurement name Definition
Mean
The arithmetic mean over the e n tire waveform.
Cycle Mean The arithmetic mean over the first cycle in the waveform.
RMS The true Root Mean Square volt
age over the entire
waveform.
Cycle RMS The true Root Mean Square voltage over the first cycle
in the wa veform.
Area Vo ltage over time that returns the area ove r the entire
waveform or gated region in volt-seconds. The a rea
measured above groun d is positive, and below ground
is negative.
Cycle Area Area over the first cycle in the waveform or the first cycle
in the ga ted region expressed in volt-seconds. The area
measured above the common reference point is positive,
and below the point is negative.
Snapshot All
Measurements
Displays all m easurement values (except two-channel
measurements) at the time you pushed the Snapshot
All Measuremen ts button, for the selected waveform.
Push the Snapshot All M e asureme nts button to up date
the list values. Push the Menu Off button to c lear the
list from the screen.
QuickMenu
Push the Qu ickMenu b utton to see a set of frequently used menu
functions on the display. QuickMenus simplify oscilloscope operation
and can increase your productivity.
Scope is a standard Qu ickMen u for general purpose oscilloscope use.
Some optional application packages also include a custom QuickMenu
display. (See page 26, Using the Scope QuickMenu .)
