Appendix F: Ethernet Setup
If you are not ab
le to send a hard copy to a network printer, work with your
system administrator to verify that:
You have set the oscilloscope to send hard copy output to the Ethernet port.
You have set the hard copy file format to the correct format for your n etwork
printer.
You have selected the correct printer in the Printer Configuration screen.
The selected network printer is connected to the network and is online.
The selected network printer server is running.
The Instrument Setup Screen
The next figure shows the Instrument Setup screen. The text that follows describes
the screen menu items and controls for entering Ethernet network settings.
HTTP Port
The HTTP Port field sets the network http socket value for the oscilloscope. This
field lets you set up the oscilloscope as a n e*Scope web server on a port other than
the default port 80. This is useful for avoiding conflicts with existing web servers
that use the same IP address through a router. The default value is 80.
Instrument Setup Control Description
General purpose knob Selects (highlights) an alphanumeric character in the list.
Enter Character
Adds the s elected alphanumeric character to the current
network parameter field. You can also use the front panel
Select button. The list of available characters changes
depending on which field is selected.
← and →
Moves the cursor left or right in the current fi eld.
Back Space Erases the character to the left of the cursor.
