MISSION SEAT ETSO
MAINTENANCE MANUAL
B. How to u
se the IPL
(1) Seats and upholstered components are to be ordered by quoting the basic Part Number (MBCS No.)
and colour code.
For this seat, the part number is made up of the following:
- Basic part number
- Colour code
- Configuration number.
Example: MBCS14550AB101
AB = cushion colour REPLIN TOSCHI BLACK
101 = configuration number
NOTE
The colour code for early and current seats use the same reference for different colour schemes.
Make sure the colour code for the specific model is used when ordering parts. Refer to the table
on page 1004.
(2) Assembly Sequence Indentation - The names of the parts in the NOMENCLATURE column of the
IPL are indented to show which parts are installed in other parts. The level of indentation is shown by
the number of dots at the edge of the NOMENCLATURE column. For example, the top assembly for
a parts list figure is at the left margin. The names of its parts and sub-assemblies are indented by one
dot. Subsequent sub-assemblies and parts are indented with more dots.

A vendor code is indicated immediately following the item description in the nomenclature column for
items not carrying a prime manufacturer part number and which cannot be ordered from the prime
manufacturer.
In addition, items not carrying a prime manufacturer Part Number may carry a P number (e.g.
P26040) either in the Part Number column or immediately following the item description in the no-
menclature columns.
All listed items in the IPL may be ordered direct from the prime manufacturer quoting the Part Number
and/or P Number and the item description.
(3) Effectivity codes
If there is more than one top assembly in a parts list figure, each top assembly can have an effectivity
code in the EFF CODE column. Effectivity codes are letters A through Z but not I or O. A part shown
with an effectivity code is only used in the top number that has the same effectivity code. Parts which
do not have effectivity codes refer to the figure in which they appear.
