3. Procedure
A. Remove the seat.
(1) Remove the seat, refer to “MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS” on page 201.
B. Remove the covers, lumbar support, cushions, guard, headrest and 5-point harness.
(Ref. IPL Fig 1, Sheets 1, 2, 4, 8 and 9).
WARNING
YOU MUST SIT IN THE BUCKET ASSEMBLY WHEN YOU ADJUST THE SEAT
HEIGHT. THE BUCKET ASSEMBLY HAS TWO GAS SPRINGS AND CAN MOVE
SUDDENLY. YOU CAN BE INJURED IF YOU DO NOT SIT IN THE BUCKET ASSEMBLY
WHEN YOU ADJUST THE SEAT HEIGHT.
(1) Sit in the seat and operate the raise/lower lever (380) to move the bucket assembly fully UP.
(2) Sit in the seat and operate the recline lever (375) to move the backrest assembly (350) fully
UPRIGHT.
(3) Remove the cover assembly (140) from the seat structure.
(4) Remove the headrest adjust spring (45) from each of the harness guides (5).
(5) Remove the headrest (40).
(6) Remove the two harness guides (5).
(7) Remove the lumbar support (35) from the cushion back - front (55).
(8) Remove the sitting cushion assembly (65) from the bucket assembly (745).
(9) Remove the cushion back - front (55) from the backrest assembly (350).
(10) Remove the cushion back - rear (60) from the backrest assembly (350).
(11) Remove the nut (110), spacer (105) and bolt (100) that secures each side of the guard (90) to the
backrest assembly (350).
(12) Move the guard (90) to the open position then remove the two nuts (25), washers (20) and bolts (15)
from the harness lock/unlock lever (part of the 5-point harness (10)).
(13) Move the harness lock/unlock lever to the down (LOCK) position, then release the knurled nut and
remove the ball end of the cable from the harness lock/unlock lever.
(14) Release and remove the grommet (30) from the guard (90) and reel operating cables.
(15) Remove the reel operating cables from the guard (90).
(16) If necessary, move the harness lock/unlock lever to the down (LOCK) position and connect the ball
end of the cable to the harness lock/unlock lever.
(17) Remove the two nuts (135), spacers (130) and bolts (125), and remove the guard (90) from the
bucket assembly (745).
