3. Procedure
A. Assemble the seat structure.
(Ref. IPL Fig 1, Sheets 1, 3, 10, 12 and 13)
NOTE
The top floor fittings are handed. The front left and rear right are different to the front right and
rear left.
(1) Detail S - Install a top floor fitting (255) in the front of the lower LH frame (810) with a:
- Claw pin (260), packer (270) and split pin (265)
- Clevis pin (275) and split pin (280).
(2) Detail T- Install a top floor fitting (320) in the rear of the lower LH frame (810) with a:
- Claw pin (325), packer (335) and split pin (330)
- Clevis pin (340) and split pin (345).
(3) Detail S- Install a top floor fitting (255) in the rear of the lower RH frame (815) with a:
- Claw pin (260), packer (270) and split pin (265)
- Clevis pin (275) and split pin (280).
(4) Detail T- Install a top floor fitting (320) in the front of the lower RH frame (815) with a:
- Claw pin (325), packer (335) and split pin (330)
- Clevis pin (340) and split pin (345).
(5) Install the fore/aft lock lever (530) in the middle beam (565) with the clevis pin (535) and split-pin
(540).
(6) Loosely install the middle beam (565) to the lower LH frame (810) with two bolts (570) and nuts (575).
(7) Loosely install the front beam (545) to the lower LH frame (810) with a bolt (550), spacer (555) and
nut (560).
(8) Loosely install the rear beam (825), lower frame cover (830), spacer (855) and frame tie-bar (835) to
the LH frame (810) with a bolt (850) and nut (860).
(9) Loosely install the lower frame cover (830) to the LH frame (810) with a bolt (840) and nut (845).
(10) Loosely install the top beam (820) and frame tie bar (835) to the LH frame (810) with a bolt (865) and
nut (870).
(11) Do step (6) thru step (10) again for the lower RH frame.
(12) Tighten the two nuts (560), four nuts (575), two nuts (545) two nuts (860) and two nuts (870).
(13) Install each of the eight thrust bearings (475) to bottom of the seat structure with a bolt (480) and nut
(485).
(14) Install the rear base cover (145) on the lower LH an RH frames (810) and (815) with four bolts (155)
and nuts (160).
