MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS
1. General
The mission seat is mounted on a carriage floor and attached to the cabin floor by four corner attachments
that engage rails in the cabin floor. A locking pin at each corner attachment locks the seat to the floor rails to
prevent the seat coming out of the floor track during fore and aft movement.
Four retaining spigots provide extra security in the floor track.
For removal and installation of the seat and components, refer to para 2. thru para 5.
2. Installation and removal of the seat
It is only necessary to remove the seat from the aircraft to:
- Do the checks at 500 flight hours or yearly (whichever occurs first)
- Replace a shop replaceable unit
- To change the aircraft seating configuration.
