MAINTENANCE MANUAL
WARNING WHEN YOU USE RTV ADHESIVE OBEY THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET AND
APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER. THIS
MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS AND CAN KILL OR CAUSE AN INJURY.
- Apply a a thin layer of RTV adhesive to a polythene cover plug (400) then install the plug on the
cable end of the fore/aft lever (355). Make sure the ball end of the cable (420) is attached to the
fore/aft lever.
- Make sure the fore/aft cable assembly (420) is correctly routed, (refer to Fig 1).
- Install the free end of the fore/aft cable assembly (420) to the middle beam (565) on the bottom of
the seat structure with the nut (425).
- Connect the ball end of the fore/aft cable assembly (420) to the fore/aft lock lever (530) on the mid-
dle beam (565).
- Do the seat fore/aft inspection to make sure the locking floor plungers (195) retract
and extend correctly, refer to “TESTING AND FAULT ISOLATION” on page 101.
I. Install the armrests.
(Ref. IPL Fig 1, Sheet 5 and 7)
(1) RH armrest - Install the cover (615) on the armrest (580) and secure with three nuts (620).
(2) LH armrest - Install the cover (605) on the armrest (580) and secure with three nuts (610).
WARNING
WHEN YOU USE GREASE ASG 64 OBEY THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET AND
APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER.
(3) Apply a thin layer of grease ASG 64 to the four O-rings (600).
(4) Install two O-rings (600) on each armrest spigot (625).
(5) Put each armrest assembly on the related spigot (625).
(6) Install an armrest screw (585) in each armrest assembly.
(7) Secure each armrest screw (585) to the armrest assembly with a bolt (590) and nut (595).
J. Install the cushions and lumbar support.
(Ref. IPL Fig 1, Sheets 1 and 9)
(1) If the cushion back - front (55), cushion back - rear (60), sitting cushion assembly (65) and lumbar
support (35) have been cleaned, make sure they are fully dry.
(2) Install the cushion back - rear (60) and cushion back - front (55) on the backrest assembly (350).
(3) Install the sitting cushion assembly (65) on the bucket assembly (745).
(4) Install the lumbar support (35) on the cushion back - front (55).
K. Install the 5-point harness, headrest, guard and covers.
(Ref. Fig 1 and IPL Fig 1, Sheets 1, 4, 9)
(1) If the 5-point harness (10) has been cleaned, make sure it is fully dry.
(2) Position the 5-point harness (10) on the seat.
