(2) Remove the bottom end of each gas strut (525) from the from the lower LH and RH frames (810) and
(815).
(3) Remove the nut (445) from each of the gas strut anchor pins (450).
(4) Remove the two gas struts (525).
F. Remove the bucket assembly from the seat structure.
(1) Lift and remove the bucket assembly (745) from the seat structure.
G. Disassemble the bucket assembly.
(Ref. IPL Fig 1, Sheets 6, 7, 8, 9)
(1) Remove the bucket crossbeam (715):
(a) Remove the two nuts (120) from the bolts (115) that secure the crossbeam to the backrest as-
sembly (350).
NOTE
When the two bolts are removed the recline gas struts will move the bucket crossbeam
approximately 0.25 in. (6.00 mm) upwards.
(b) Push down on the bucket crossbeam (715) and remove the two bolts (115).
(c) Move the crossbeam rearwards then remove the seat recline plunger (720), spring (730), special
washer (740) and plunger cable body (735) from each side of the backrest assembly (350).
(d) Remove the split pin (700), spacer (690) and clevis pin (695) that secures the bottom end of each
recline gas strut (685) to the related side of the bucket assembly (745).
(e) Remove the split pin (710), clevis pin (705) and the recline gas struts (685) from the bucket
crossbeam.
(f) Remove the split pin (680) and pivot pin (675) that secures the rack (670) to each side of the
bucket assembly (745).
(g) Move the backrest assembly (350) forward and remove the rack (670) from each side of the
bucket assembly (745).
(h) Remove the two nuts (680), bolts (775), backrest bearings (770) and backrest assembly (350)
from on the bucket assembly (745).
(i) Remove the three nuts (805), bolt (800), two bolts (795) and three spools (790) from the bucket
assembly (745).
(j) Remove the four nuts (410), bolts (415) and two lever brackets (405) from the bucket assembly
(745).
(k) Remove the two nuts (455) and gas strut anchor pins (450) from the bucket assembly (745).
