3. Procedure
A. Soft materials.
(1) Wipe the following items clean with a lint-free cloth made damp with warm soapy water:
- Headrest cover
- Armrest cover
- Rear-base cover
- Back cushion assembly
- Lumbar support pad
- Sitting cushion cover.
(2) Wipe the following items dry with absorbent paper:
- Headrest cover
- Armrest covers
- Rear-base cover
- Back cushion assembly
- Lumbar support pad
- Sitting cushion cover.
B. Metal surfaces.
WARNING
THE 5-POINT HARNESS MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE CLEANING METAL
SURFACES WITH SOLVENT. SOLVENT WILL DAMAGE THE 5-POINT HARNESS. IF
THE 5-POINT HARNESS IS DAMAGED, IT CAN CAUSE DEATH OR INJURY.
CAUTION
THE CUSHION ASSEMBLIES MUST BE REMOVED BEFORE CLEANING METAL
SURFACES WITH SOLVENT. SOLVENT WILL DAMAGE THE CUSHION
ASSEMBLIES.
(1) Remove the 5-point harness, refer to “DISASSEMBLY” on page 301.
(2) Remove the cushion assemblies, refer to “DISASSEMBLY” on page 301.
(3) Remove heavy accumulations of dirt with a clean, lint-free cloth.
(4) Clean all metal parts of the seat with an clean lint-free cloth made moist with an approved cleaning
agent.
(5) Wipe the metal surfaces dry with absorbent paper.
(6) Remove all traces of Loctite and adhesive with an approved cleaning fluid.
(7) Install the cushion assemblies, refer to “ASSEMBLY AND STORAGE” on page 701.
(8) Install the 5-point harness, refer to “ASSEMBLY AND STORAGE” on page 701.
C. 5-point harness.
WARNING
ONLY USE A MIXTURE OF WARM WATER AND SOAP TO CLEAN THE FABRIC OF
THE 5-POINT HARNESS. INCORRECT CLEANING OR DRYING OF THE 5-POINT
HARNESS CAN DAMAGE THE HARNESS FABRIC. IF THE HARNESS FABRIC IS
DAMAGED, IT CAN CAUSE DEATH OR INJURY.
