MAINTENANCE MANUAL
WARNING THE MISSION SEAT MBCS14550 MUST ONLY BE INSTALLED INTO HEAVY DUTY
AIRCRAFT TRACK CONFORMING TO SPECIFICATION MS33601 - (7075) AMS-QQ-A-200/
11 -T6511 OR SIMILAR, MINIMUM UTS 79000 LB/SQ IN (STATIC CERTIFICATION). IF YOU
INSTALL THE SEAT TO ANY OTHER FLOOR FITTINGS THE SEAT CAN DISENGAGE FROM
THE FLOOR. IF THE SEAT DISENGAGES FROM THE FLOOR IT CAN KILL OR CAUSE
INJURY.
WARNING
THE SEAT IS HEAVY. TWO PERSONS ARE REQUIRED WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL
THE SEAT. FAILURE TO DO SO CAN RESULT IN INJURY TO PERSONNEL AND/OR
DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
WARNING
WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED MOVING THE SEAT TO A NEW POSITION, MAKE SURE IT IS
LOCKED. IF A FORCE IS APPLIED AND THE SEAT IS NOT LOCKED, THE SEAT CAN MOVE
SUDDENLY. IF THE SEAT MOVES SUDDENLY, IT CAN KILL OR CAUSE INJURY.
4. Installation
Install the seat in the aircraft as follows, refer to Fig 1:
NOTE
The locking pins prevent the seat from lifting out of the floor track during fore/aft adjustment. The
tapered plungers are spring-loaded and hold the locking pins in the locked position.
(1) Make sure the locking pins (2) are in the up position.
(2) If a locking pin (2) is not in the up position, pull the tapered plunger (3) to free the locking pin, pull the
locking pin fully up and release the spring-loaded plunger.
NOTE
As the seat is lowered, the two spring-loaded centre locking plungers (4) will retract into the
carriage floor (5).
(3) Align the corner attachments (1) with the circular features on the floor rails (6), then lower the seat
until the bottom surface of each centre locking plunger (4) is in contact with the top surface of the floor
rail and the plungers are retracted within the carriage floor (5).
(4) Adjust the position of the seat along the floor rails (6) until the centre locking plungers (4) engage the
floor rails.
(5) When the centre locking plungers (4) are correctly engaged the four locking pins (2) will engage with
holes in the floor rails (6).
NOTE
Listen for an audible click as the tapered plunger (3) engages the chamfer of the locking pin (2).
(6) Push the four locking pins (2) fully down to engage the floor rails (6).
(7) Make sure the tapered plungers (3) are correctly fitted with their tapered ends located in the large
drilling within the locking pins (2).
