B. Assemble the carriage floor.
(Ref. IPL Fig 1, Sheet 14)
WARNING
WHEN YOU USE GREASE ASG 64, OBEY THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET
AND APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER. THIS
MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS AND CAN KILL OR CAUSE AN INJURY.
(1) Install each of the two lock operating levers (190) to a floor locking plunger (195) with a dowel pin
(205).
(2) Apply a thin coat of grease ASG 64 to the two springs (200), then install the two springs into the floor
locking plungers (195).
(3) Install the two floor locking plungers (195) with springs (200) into the holes in the underside of the
carriage floor (170) with the lock operating levers (190) aligned with the central web.
(4) Secure each of the two lock operating levers (190) to the carriage floor (170) with a clevis pin (210)
and split-pin (215).
(5) Install the carriage floor plunger (175) in the carriage floor (170) and make sure the lock operating
levers (190) engage the slots in the carriage floor plunger (175).
(6) Install two rubber washers (225) on each of the two feet (220).
(7) Install two rubber washers (290) on each of the two feet (285).
NOTE
The top feet and track locking pins are handed. The front left and rear right are different to the
front right and rear left.
(8) Detail W - Assemble each of the two feet (220) to the carriage floor (170) with a floor secure plunger
(240), spring (245), locking track pin (250) and clevis pin (230).
(9) Detail W - Make sure the rubber washers (225) are located below the bottom surface of the carriage
floor (170), then secure each of the two clevis pins (230) with a split pin (235).
(10) Detail X - Assemble each of the two feet (285) to the carriage floor (170) with a floor secure plunger
(305), spring (310), locking track pin (315) and clevis pin (295).
(11) Detail X - Make sure the rubber washers (290) are located below the bottom surface of the carriage
floor (170), then secure each of the two clevis pins (295) with a split pin (300).
(12) Install the four retaining spigots (180) and nuts (185) to the carriage floor (170).
C. Install the carriage floor.
(Ref. IPL Fig 1, Sheets 12 and 14)
(1) Loosely position two of the claw assemblies (465) on the bottom of the seat structure, one at the rear
and one at 90 degrees.
(2) Position the carriage floor (170) on the bottom of the seat structure offset by 10 degrees from the fore/
aft position, make sure:
- The carriage floor plunger (175) is installed in the middle of the carriage floor (170) web
- The inner edge of the carriage floor (170) upper surface engages the two claw assemblies (465).
