MAINTENANCE MANUAL
- Install the bucket crossbeam (715) on the backrest assembly (350) with a bolt (115) at each side,
if necessary push down on the bucket crossbeam to install the bolts. Make sure the FWD edges
of the bucket crossbeam are installed over the flange on each plunger cable body (735) and the
bolts are installed through the upper holes in the crossbeam.
- Secure each of the two bolts (115) with a nut (120).
(10) Install the recline racks (670).
- Install the recline plungers, cable and lever, refer to step H., para (2)
- Lift and hold the handle for the recline lever (375).
- Install each of the racks (670) in their receptacle in the backrest assembly (350) and make sure
the rack teeth are to the rear.
- Release the recline lever (375) and make sure both plungers (720) engage the racks (670).
- Connect each rack (670) to the bucket assembly (745) with a pivot pin (675) and split pin (680).
F. Install the bucket assembly on the seat structure.

WARNING
WHEN YOU USE GREASE ASG 64 OBEY THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET AND
APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER. THIS
MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS AND CAN KILL OR CAUSE AN INJURY.
(1) Lightly lubricate the mating surfaces of the four guide bearings (755) with grease ASG 64.
(2) Carefully install the bucket assembly onto the seat structure. Make sure the slots on each of the guide
bearings (755) engage the channel on the related lower frames (810) and (815).
(3) Put the seat assembly on its back with the bucket assembly at the raised position.
G. Install the height control gas struts.
(Ref. IPL Fig 1, Sheets 8, 12 and 13)
(1) Install each of the height control gas struts (525) on a gas strut anchor pin (450) and secure with a
nut (445).

WHEN YOU USE LOCTITE 222 OBEY THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET AND
APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER. THIS
MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS AND CAN KILL OR CAUSE AN INJURY.
(2) Apply a thin coat of Loctite 222, to the threads of the ball ends on the height control gas struts (525),
and install one in each of the lower LH and RH frames (810) and (815).
H. Install the plungers, cables and levers.
(Ref. Fig 1 and IPL Fig 1, Sheets 5, 6, 8, 9, 11 and 12)
(1) Rotate plunger, cable and lever:

AND APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER.
- Apply a thin coat of ASG 64 to the spring (490).
- Install the spring (490) and locking plunger (500) in the lock pin housing (495).
