MAINTENANCE MANUAL
- Connect the free end of the rotate cable assembly (665) to the locking plunger (500).
- To keep the cable ball end on the locking plunger (500), loosely install the knurled nut on the lock-
ing plunger (500).

WHEN YOU USE LOCTITE 222, OBEY THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET AND
APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER. THIS
MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS AND CAN KILL OR CAUSE AN INJURY.
- Apply a thin coat of Loctite 222, to the threads on the beam end of the rotate lock pin housing (495).
- Install the lock pin housing (495) in the rear cross beam (825).

APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER. THIS
MATERIAL IS DANGEROUS AND CAN KILL OR CAUSE AN INJURY.
- Loosen the knurled nut and apply a thin coat of Loctite 222 to the threads of the cable end of the
rotate lock pin housing (495).
- Tighten the knurled nut on the rotate lock pin housing (495).
- Install the free end of the rotate cable assembly (665), through the RH side of the crossbeam on
the bottom of the bucket assembly (745).
- Make sure the rotate cable assembly (665) is correctly routed, (refer to Fig 1).
- Install a grommet (460) over the free end of the rotate cable assembly (665).
- Install the grommet (460) to the crossbeam on the bottom the bucket assembly (745).
- Connect the free end of the rotate cable assembly (665) to the rotate lever (645).
- Install the rotate lever (645) to the RH side of the bucket assembly (745) with two spacers (655)
bolts (650) and nuts (660).
- Do the seat rotation inspection to make sure the rotate locking plunger (500) disengages from the
carriage floor (170) correctly. Refer to “TESTING AND FAULT ISOLATION” on page 101.
(2) Recline plungers, cable and lever:
- Install the recline lever (375), raise/lower lever (380) and spacer (385) to the RH lever bracket
(405) on the bottom of the bucket assembly, with the clevis pin (390) and split pin (395).
WARNING
WHEN YOU USE GREASE ASG 64, OBEY THE MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEET
AND APPLY AS SHOWN IN THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE MANUFACTURER.
- Apply a thin coat of ASG 64 to the two springs (730) and the two seat recline plungers (720).
- Install a seat recline plunger (720), spring (730), special washer (740) and plunger cable body
(735) to each side of the backrest assembly (350). At the same time, connect the plunger ends of
the recline cable assembly (430) to the recline plungers (720) with a split pin (725).
NOTE
A flange on the crossbeam (715) keeps the recline plunger assemblies secured to the backrest
assembly (350).
- Install the bucket crossbeam (715) on the backrest assembly (350), refer to step E., para (9).
- Make sure the recline cable assembly (430) is correctly routed, (refer to para Fig. 1).
- Install the threaded end of the recline cable assembly (430) to the crossbeam (part of the bucket
assembly (745)) with the nut (440).
- Install the cable ball end to the recline lever (375).
