relief(PRV1)istestedattheinlettothedeck#1motor(Figure77).
4.Thoroughlycleanjunctionofappropriatehydraulicinlethoseanddeckmotor
tting(Figure78).Disconnectthehydraulicinlethosefromthedeckmotor.
IMPORTANT
Makesurethattheoilowindicatorarrowonthetesterisshowing
thattheoilwillowfromthedisconnectedhose,throughthetester
andintothedeckmotor.
5.Installtesterwithpressuregaugeandowmeterinserieswiththe
disconnectedhoseanddeckmotorinlet.Makesurethetesterowcontrol
valveisfullyopen.
6.Afterinstallingpressuregauge,startengineandrunatlowidlespeed.Check
forhydraulicleakageandcorrectbeforeproceedingwithtest.
CAUTION
Keepawayfromdecksduringtesttopreventpersonalinjuryfrom
thecuttingblades.
7.Increaseenginespeedtohighidlespeed.Engagethecuttingdecks.
8.Watchtesterpressuregaugecarefullywhileslowlyclosingtheowcontrol
valveontester.
9.Asthecircuitreliefvalvelifts,systempressureshouldbefrom235to258bar
(3400to3750PSI).
10.Openthetesterowcontrolvalve,disengagecuttingdecksandstopthe
engine.Recordtestresults.
11.Ifspecicationisnotmet,makesurethatelectricalconnectionsatdeck
controlmanifoldaresecureandthencleanorreplacereliefvalve(PRV1
orPRV2)inthedeckcontrolmanifold(seeDeckControlManifold(page
5–130)).Also,ifpressureisstilllowafterreliefvalveservice,checkfor
restrictioninpumpintakeline.Therstorsecondgearpumpsectioncould
alsobesuspectedofwearordamage(seeGearPumpFlow(UsingT ester
withPressureGauge&FlowMeter)(page5–82)).
12.Aftertestingiscomplete,disconnecttesterfromdeckmotorandhose.
