OperationalTest
1.Parkmachineonalevelsurface,lowercuttingdecks,stopengineandapply
parkingbrake.Raisehoodtoaccessfuelpump.
2.Disconnectfuelpumpdischargehosefromthefuellterattachedtothe
engine(Figure221).
3.Makesurefuelhosesattachedtothefuelpumparefreeofobstructions.
4.Placedisconnectedendofpumpdischargehoseintoalarge,graduated
cylindersufcientenoughtocollect0.95liter(1quart).
IMPORTANT
Whentestingfuelpumpoutput,donotturnignitionswitchtothe
STARTposition.
5.CollectfuelinthegraduatedcylinderbyturningignitionswitchtotheON
position.Allowpumptorunforthirty(30)seconds,thenturnswitchtoOFF .
6.Theamountoffuelcollectedinthegraduatedcylindershouldbe
approximately350ml(11.8oz)afterthirty(30)seconds.
7.Replacefuelpumpasnecessary.
