fromthemachine.
Removal
1.Removetheaxlecovermountingscrews.Removetheaxlecoverfromthe
axlecaseasanassembly(Figure257).
2.Useabearingpullertoremovethebearingandbevelgearasshown(Figure
258).
3.Removetheshims,spacerandretainingring.Drivetheaxleoutofthe
bearingandcover.Removeanddiscardtheaxleshaftseal.
4.Inspectallgears,shafts,bearings,spacersandcasesfordamageandwear.
Replacecomponentsasnecessary.
