system.Two(2)speciallydesigned,twistedcablesformthebusforthenetwork
usedonthemachine.Thesewiresprovidethedatapathwaysbetweenmachine
components.AttheendofthetwistedpairofbuscablesneartheInfoCenter
displayisa120ohmterminationresistor.
TheCAN−busterminationresistorplugsintotheplatformwireharnessinthe
consolearm.Theresistorcanbeaccessedbyremovingthecoverplateonthe
rightsideoftheconsolearm.Thewireharnessconnectorhasablueinsertto
identifytheproperlocationfortheterminationresistor.
Note:TheGroundsmaster4500−Dand4700−DengineECUincludesthe
secondCAN−bussystemterminationresistor.Thisresistorcannotbeaccessed
fortesting.
Note:RefertoAppendixA(pageA–1)foradditionalinformationontermination
resistorlocationandwireconnections.
IMPORTANT
Theterminationresistorisrequiredforproperelectricalsystem
operation.
TerminationResistorTest
Theterminationresistor(Figure222)canbetestedusingadigitalmultimeter
(ohmssetting).Thereshouldbe120ohmsresistancebetweenterminalsAandB
oftheterminationresistor.ThereisnotaterminalincavityConGroundsmaster
4500−Dand4700−Dmachines.
