adjustablereliefvalves.Thefollowingprocedurecanbeusedtoadjustthese
reliefvalves.RefertotheTesting(page5–43)sectionofthischapterfor
informationontestingreliefpressure.
Note:Donotremovereliefvalvefromthehydraulicmanifoldforadjustment.
1.Locatereliefvalveoncontrolmanifold.
2.Removecaponreliefvalvewithanallenwrench.
3.Toincreasepressuresetting,turntheadjustmentsocketonthevalveina
clockwisedirection.A1/8turnonthesocketwillmakeameasurablechange
inreliefpressure.
4.Todecreasepressuresetting,turntheadjustmentsocketonthevalveina
counterclockwisedirection.A1/8turnonthesocketwillmakeameasurable
changeinreliefpressure.
5.Installandtightencaponreliefvalve.
6.Recheckreliefpressureandreadjustasneeded.
