O-ringsontottings.Installttingsintocylinderportsusingmarksmade
duringtheremovalprocesstoproperlyorientatettings.Tightenttings
(seeInstallingtheHydraulicFittings(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittings)
(page5–9)).
2.Ifremoved,pressballjointsintoliftcylinderandsecurewithretainingring.
3.Slideramendballjointthroughholeonsteeringarm.Securewithaxle
washerandslottedhexnut.Slidexedendofcylinderthroughholeonaxle.
Installspacerontoballjointandsecurewithslottedhexnut.T orqueslotted
hexnutsfrom136to169N·m(100to125ft-lbs)priortoinsertingcotterpins.
4.Removecapsandplugsfromdisconnectedhosesandttings.
5.Installhydraulichosestosteeringcylinder(seeInstallingHydraulicHoses
andTubes(O-RingFaceSeal)(page5–7)).
6.Fillreservoirwithhydraulicuidasrequired.
7.Afterassemblyiscompleted,operatesteeringcylindertoverifythathydraulic
hosesandttingsarenotcontactedbyanything.
