CAUTION
Donotopenradiatorcapordraincoolantiftheradiatororengineis
hot.Allowtheengineandexhaustsystemtocoolbeforeworkingon
theengine.Pressurized,hotcoolantcanescapeandcauseburns.
Ethylene−glycolantifreezeispoisonous.Disposeofcoolant
properly,orstoreitinaproperlylabeledcontainerawayfrom
childrenandpets.
4.Draincoolantfromradiatorintoasuitablecontainer(seeRadiatorandOil
CoolerAssembly(page4–15)).Disconnectupperandlowerradiatorhoses
fromtheradiator.
5.Removeaircleanersystemfromengine(seeAirCleanerSystem(page4–9)).
6.Notelocationofcabletiesusedtosecurewireharness.Disconnectthe
followingengineelectricalconnections:
A.Theenginewireharnessfromthemachinewireharness.
B.Thepositivebatterycableandfusiblelinkharnessfromtheenginestarter
motor.
C.Thenegativebatterycable,enginegroundcableandmainwireharness
groundwiressecuredwithacapscrewandexternallockwashertothe
rightsideoftheenginebelowthestartermotor.Notelocationoflock
washerforassemblypurposes.
