1.Removethesnapringsthatsecurethebearingsintheyokes.
IMPORTANT
Supporttheyokeswhenremovingandinstallingthebearingsto
preventdamage.
2.Useapresstoremovethecrossandbearingsfromtheyokes.Cleanthe
driveshaftyokes.
3.Installnewcrossandbearingsasfollows:
A.Applyathicklayerofgreasetothebearingboresintheendyokeand
shaftyoke.
B.Press1bearingpartiallyintoyoke.
C.Insertthecrossintotheyokeandbearing.
D.Holdthecrossinalignmentandpressthebearinginuntilithitstheyoke.
E.Installthesnapringintotheyokegroovetosecuretheinstalledbearing.
F.Placesecondbearingintotheyokeboreandontothecrossshaft.Press
thebearingintotheyokeandsecurewiththesnapring.
G.Repeattheprocedurefortheotheryoke.
H.Applygreasetothecrossuntilitcomesoutofallthe4bearingcups.
4.Ensurethattheassembledjointmoveswithoutanybinding.Lightlyrapthe
yokelugswithasoft-facedhammertoremoveslightbinding.Ifthebinding
continues,disassemblethejointtoidentifythesourceofbinding.
InstallingtheHydraulicPumpDriveshaft
1.Applyanti-seizelubricanttothetractionpumpinputshaft.
2.OnmachineswithaYanmardieselengine,ifremoved,securethedriveshaft
assemblytotheywheeladapterplatewiththeback-upring,6bolts,and6
angenuts.
3.Positionthedriveshaftassemblytotheengineandpumpinputshaft.
