cleanerstandadapterbelowthefuel/waterseparator(Figure276).Electrical
currentisavailableforthefuelpumpwhenthekeyswitchisineithertheRUN
orSTARTposition.
TheT oroElectronicController(TEC)energizesthefuelpump.
IMPORTANT
Whentestingthefuelpump,ensurethatthepumpisnotoperated
withoutfuel.

Dieselfuelishighlyammable.
•Usecautionwheneveryouhandledieselfuel.
•Donotsmokewhiletestingthefuelpump.
•Donottestthefuelpumpwhiletheengineishot.
•Ensurethatthereisadequateventilationwhentesting.
•Alwayswipeupanyspilleddieselfuelbeforestartingtheengine.
TestingtheFuelPumpCapacity
1.Parkthemachineonalevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunits,shutoffthe
engine,andsettheparkingbrake.EnsurethatthekeyswitchisintheOFF
position.
2.Unlatchthehoodandraiseit.
3.Ensurethatthefuelhosesattachedtothefuelpumparefreeofobstructions.
