Note:Thegroomeridlerassemblyislocatedonthesamesideofthecutting
unitasthecuttingunithydraulicmotor.
RemovingtheIdlerAssembly
1.Parkthemachineonacleanandlevelsurface,lowerthecuttingunits
completelytotheground,shutofftheengine,settheparkingbrake,and
removethekeyfromthekeyswitch.
2.Removethehydraulicreelmotorfromthecuttingunit;refertoRemovingthe
HydraulicReelMotor(page9–17).
3.Removethegroomerreelassembly;refertoRemovingtheGroomerReel
(page11–13).
4.Removethecotterpinandclevispinfromtheheightadjustmentrodatthe
frontoftheidlerarm.Discardthecotterpin.
5.Removethe2socket-headscrews(item1inFigure396)thatsecurethe
pivothubtothecuttingunit,andremovethepivothubandidlerassembly
fromthecuttingunit.
6.Inspecttheshields,bearing,andbushingintheidlerassembly.Removeand
discardthecomponentsthatarewornordamaged.
