5.DisconnectthehydraulichosesandtubesfromthettingsintheAWDcontrol
manifoldassembly.Allowthelinestodrainintoasuitablecontainer.Remove
anddiscardtheO-ringsfromthettings.
6.Installcleancapsorplugsonthehydrauliclinesandttingstoprevent
systemcontamination.
7.SupporttheAWDcontrolmanifoldassemblytopreventitfromfalling.
8.Removethe3bolts(item13inFigure161)and3lockwashersthatsecure
theAWDcontrolmanifoldtotheframebracket.
9.Locateandretrievethe3spacersbetweentheframebracketandthe
manifold.
10.RemovetheAWDcontrolmanifoldfromthemachine.
11.Ifnecessary,removethehydraulicttingsfromthemanifold.Discardthe
O-ringsthatwereremoved.
InstallingtheCrossTraxAWDControlManifoldAssembly
1.IfthehydraulicttingswereremovedfromtheAWDcontrolmanifold,lubricate
newO-ringswithcleanhydraulicuid,positiontheO-ringstothettings,and
installthettingsintothemanifold;refertoInstallingtheHydraulicFittings
(SAEStraightThreadO-RingFittingintotheComponentPort)(page6–13).
2.Positionthemanifoldand3spacerstotheframebracket.Installthe3lock
washers(item14inFigure161)and3boltsbutdonotfullytightenthebolts.
3.Removethecapsandplugsfromthehydrauliclinesandttings.
4.LubricateandinstallnewO-ringsontheAWDcontrolmanifoldttings.
5.Usethelabelsthatyouattachedduringmanifoldremoval,correctlyconnect
thehydraulichosesandtubestotheAWDcontrolmanifoldassembly;refer
toInstallingtheHydraulicHoseandTube(O-RingFaceSealFitting)(page
6–11).
6.Tightenthe3boltstosecuretheAWDcontrolmanifoldtotheframe.
7.Checkthehydraulic-uidlevelinthehydraulictankandaddcorrectquantity
ofuidifnecessary;refertotheOperator’sManual.
8.Operatethemachinefunctionsslowlyuntilairisoutofsystem;referto
ChargingtheHydraulicSystem(page6–151).
