Fuel T ank Replacement
Fuel T ank Removal
1. Park the machine on a level surface and disengage the PT O. Stop the
engine, wait for all moving parts to stop and remove the key . Engage the
parking brake.
2. Disconnect the battery by removing the negative cable rst, then the positive
cable from the battery .
3. Remove the seat. Refer to Seat Removal ( page 6– 14 ) .
4. Disconnect vent hose from the fuel tank.
Note: Cap of f the fuel lines.

5. Release the clamp securing the fuel line and disconnect the fuel line from
the fuel tank.
6. Remove the LH pod. Refer to Left Hand Pod Removal ( page 6– 20 ) .
7. Remove the hose clamp securing the fuel ller neck to the fuel tank. Remove
the fuel ller neck.
8. Remove the RH pod. Refer to Right Hand Pod Removal ( page 6– 22 ) .
9. Using a T40 torx driver , remove the 4 (5/16 inch) bolts securing the badge
plate assembly to the chassis.
