3.2Tool Setting and Operation
3
In transmission block registration, register three items: transmission rate, transmitting
nodes, and output. [Word No.] and [Word block] are for selecting a number of words per
block, but it is not necessary to register anything in these columns because the ADMAP-
5M has a fixed word length from 0 to 64.
[Transmission rate] is for selecting a scan transmission rate. Double-click the cell of the
[Transmission rate] column for the block you wish to register or change, so that the high/
medium/low menu appears for you to specify the desired rate.
[Transmitting node] is for specifying a station and an AN712 module in the network to be
used for transmitting the block. Double-click the cell of the [Transmitting node] column for
the block you wish to register or change, so that the list of the AN712 module stations
registered in advance appears for you to specify an AN712 module for transmission.
[Output] is for specifying a controller to be used for refreshing the transmission data of
the block. Double-click the cell of the [Output] column for the block you wish to register or
change, so that the list of the station modules selected in the [Transmitting node] column
appears for you to select a module for sending block data.
(2) Checking scan transmission block settings and setting transmission cycle
Select the AN712 modules registered in the stations on the Product View screen, then
select [Module parameter] on the [File] menu to open the AN712 module parameter
screen. (Or, double-click [Module].
The [Tool] column for each parameter shows the information registered in the
Engineering Tools. The [Module] column shows the current information of the specified
AN712 module.
[Scan transmission] shows scan transmission status. Start means scan transmission is
under way, and stop, no scan transmission.
[Scan cycle high (ms)], [Scan cycle medium (ms)], and [Scan cycle low (ms)] are for
setting scan transmission rates in the following ranges.
High: 10 to 200 ms
Medium: 50 to 1,000 ms
Low: 500 to 20,000 ms
