5.6 Communication FB Message Format
The user may allocate a format, application by application, for general messages to be
sent and received via a socket interface. However, messages to be sent and received to
and from the AN712 module are exchanged via a socket interface in a format in which a
14-byte (7-word) header and 2-byte (1-word) auxiliary information are added to identify
the use of such messages as transmission messages for use in the TOSDIC-CIE or
TOSDIC-AD system, or as management and control messages for the AN712 itself.
(Figure 5-14)
Figure 5-14 Socket Interface Data Exchange Format
The header indicates an AN712 message type and request or response, expressed in a
character string as shown in figure 5-14.
The 2-byte auxiliary information that follows the header is added to the ADMAP-5M text
and identifies the address of the message transmitting source. Details are specified by
message type.
The headers AN712 MMS RC and AN712 MMS RR indicate a data read command and
response to the PCS or OIS of a classical TOSDIC-CIE system. The headers
AN712MMS WC and AN712 MMS WR indicate a data write command and response.
The headers ANS712 MMS IC and AN712 MMS IR indicate an MMS broadcast
command and response used by the time broadcast function, etc.
The ADMAP-5M text having these headers should be built as an assembly of a
invocation identifier, command or response status, classical TOSDIC-CIE command (16
bytes), and data (in case of write) or response, to send and receive messages to and
from ADMAP stations.
The headers AN712 PCL CM and AN712 PCL RS indicate a DPCS (VMMSX2) or SCAU
(VMMSX3) command and response for a TOSDIC-AD system. The ADMAP-5M text
having these headers should be built as an assembly of a service access point, data link
size, and LLC message, for data access to TOSDIC-AD system stations. (Section 5.8)
The headers AN712 SMG RQ and AN712 SMG RR indicate a request and response to
the AN712 module itself for system management or network management. The ADMAP-
5M text having these headers should be built as an assembly of a scan transmission
block registration, scan start/stop, and engagement in or disengagement from ADMAP-
5M transmission. (Section 5.9)
