5.4 Communication FB Interface
This section describes the communication FB (function block) instructions (USEND_T,
URCV_T) that are used for instructing the AN712 module socket interface from the S3
controller. The specifications and limitations, basically the same as those of Ethernet
modules, are also described here. For a description of other instructions, refer to the
Instruction Manual (6F8C0865).
5.4.1 Socket communication transmission (USEND_T instruction)
−Graphic representation−
Figure 5-10 USEND_T Graphic Representation
−Limitations−
• No. of AN712 modules, 4 per station: Model 3000 only
• No. of sockets per AN712: 12
• Protocol: Commands of only UDP/IP usable
• Transmitting text size: 500 words
−Functions−
• ADMAP-5M message transmission by the UDP/IP communication function
• When the execution request (REQ) changes from FALSE (OFF) to TRUE (ON), (N)
words of W transmission data (P) are transferred depending on the specified
transmission command (CMD).
• Up to 500 words of transmitting data can be specified.
• When the data transfer is completed, the done output (DONE) becomes TRUE (ON)
for 1-scan time only.
• If the data transfer ends in an error, error (ERROR) becomes TRUE (ON) for 1-scan
time only.
• When the data transfer is completed or ended in an error, its detail is output to Socket
No. or error status (STATUS).
• The instruction is completed normally (DONE=ON) at the second or later scan after
execution is requested (REQ=ON). Remember that, depending on the set control
cycle and the way of creating an application program, it may take a few seconds for
the normal completion of the instruction.
