How to Switch Over to the FAX Mode

The copier is turned on in the COPY mode.
• The message “READY” indicates that you can make copies
at any time.

Turn ON the power switch.

Press the key on the control panel to select the
FAX function.
Note
• Before carrying out FAX operations, be sure to switch over
to the FAX mode.
• You can set up the machine so it will default to the FAX
MODE upon turning on the power. For the details, please
ask your service personnel.
Tip
• If you leave the digital copier inactive for about 45 seconds,
the digital copier automatically returns to the copying mode
(Default setting).
• You can switch over to the FAX mode while the digital copier
is in the sleep mode.
